Ready For A Challenge ?

This is the home page for the BCAIPL Tri-State 8 Ball Championships.

Please read the requirements section before entering the tournament.

Below is some of the history of the event.

BCAIPL - BCA Indiana Pool Leagues

This organization is a group of BCAPL league operators in Indiana that put on the Indiana State 8 Ball Championships.

This event nearly died a few years back but was kept alive by Felix Lukenbill, John Harty and Joe Greer.   These league operators and many more not listed spent countless hours behind the scenes to host this event for their league members.   This is a pool tournament for the pool players by pool players.

For 4 years the event has been located in Fort Wayne and then in 2011 moved to French Lick Resort.   In 2012 the BCAPL members in Illinois and Kentucky were invited to the tournament and renamed Tri-State.   New league operators Barb and Mike Cravens joined in helping run the event and it has grown each year in the number of teams and players.    Jodi and Brian Burnau have contributed greatly in running this event.   John Lewis has contributed his time and money to help make this event possible. ( John Lewis from Ft Wayne, Not Vegas )   Players should be very appreciative of these above people for their time and efforts.   Again there are many people involved that make this event possible.

This is one of the toughest tournaments around.    Most of the teams and players are very experienced pool players.    I also have found that as a group these players have shown some of the best sportsmanship I have ever seen.

The goals for the tournament have been to put on the best tournament possible.    The last 6 years the goal have been to find locations to host the tournament that don't cost so much that it takes all the player's prize fund.    Also we like to run a tournament that the players have as much space between tables as possible.    I hate being at a tournament and feeling like a sardine in a can.    I believe that a good layout for a tournament allows for the players to move freely about the tournament and allow them the space to shoot a shot without feeling like the are interrupting the player next to them.

This tournament is put on by the BCAIPL and not the BCAPL.    BCAPL does not run the tournament but does contribute to the general prize fund.

Bottom line ... We will always work to have a better tournament for our players.    Try to treat them as we would like to be treated.

Shoot, Enjoy, Compete, Have Fun !
